SCADA

Modernize operations with a new SCADA system

Scadax designs and installs SCADA systems for water and wastewater management where remote control and monitoring is desired or necessary.

Scadax specializes in remote control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) for the water/wastewater sector. We have deployed turnkey systems in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. Based in Western Canada, we are poised to travel throughout the globe to give you the solution you need.

SCADA for Caribbean Water Authorities

Scadax provides turnkey SCADA solutions for the Caribbean water/wastewater sector. Our mission is to bring state-of-the-art remote control and telemetry solutions to Caribbean water authorities wishing to gain better control over their water systems.

Scadax has done extensive work in St. Lucia, and in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and is currently working with other water authorities to develop projects on other Islands.

We offer quick delivery and installation of turnkey systems. Our systems are complete, and affordable. We are very willing to install systems in small phases, and offer special pilot project pricing so that we can demonstrate the benefits of using up-to-date solutions for water and wastewater management.

Case Study – WASCO (St. Lucia)

Since early 2005, Scadax has been implementing a turnkey SCADA system for the Water and Sewerage Company in St. Lucia. The project will eventually provide for two control centers.

The first control center has already been installed in Castries, and gives operators the ability to monitor all reservoir tanks, as well as monitor pump stations. The system exercise automatic control of pumps based on levels in associated tanks, and also gives operators the ability to control pumps remotely from the control center.

Information from water treatment facilities is also being added to the system, so that water quality information is available at the control center.

The system also records alarm conditions, such as; reservoir level alarms (overflows/low levels); pump overloads; station power failures; etc. These alarms are recorded in the system, and are also sent directly to the cell phones of key operations staff in the form of text/SMS messages.

The second control center will be established in View Fort, and will provide all the benefits and features that the Castries control center provides for the north part of the Island in the south.

If you would like to contact WASCO to find out more about their system, please contact us and we will be happy to put you in touch with them. Or, if you prefer, contact them directly.

Financing Options

Water operators often struggle with daunting budgets and limited finances. SCADA systems will cut operational costs, and make the operations of the utility more efficient. But sometimes, the system acquisition costs can be prohibitive.

To address this concern, Scadax offers financing options that can make having a full SCADA system a reality without an overwhelming capital expenditure. Payments can be made over a period of several months, or even years.

We are prepared to work with you to setup a financing plan that allows you to pay for the system over time, possibly out of your regular maintenance budget.

We plan on servicing the Caribbean water sector for a long time to come. This is why we are setting up a structure in St. Lucia from which to service the region.

We’re not here just to sell you a SCADA system. We will implement a cost-saving management tool that will finance itself from the long term savings derived from using the system.
